Maryling Fall 2018.19 #MFW

Elegance, tailoring and sophistication were all on the Maryling runway for Fall / Winter 2018.19 collection, as well as a highlight for monochromatic looks, especially in red and for the elegant plaid patterns.

Maryling Fall 2018 MFW

I went to check out the Maryling fashion show during the Milan Fashion Week here in Milan and here are the main looks and trends chosen by Maryling for the next winter.

• Maryling Fall/Winter 2018.19 at MFW:

Matching the same pattern it’s still a hot trend and it’s also represented by this plaid print for Maryling 2019’2 Fall/Winter season, with the elegance made in Italy.

The college inspiration gains a much more sophisticated look, with a plaid print and 3/4 stockings, in a very adult and elegant look.

Dresses in fine fabrics create a movement and sensuality for the brand’s winter:

A beautiful print to make this winter happier:

Two of my favorite outfits from the Maryling fashion show from the winter 2019 collection, one in red with a beautiful plaid print and one in ton sur ton red outfit. Lately I’m so into the red vibe, and it’s a color that was super present on the Fall/ Winter 2018.19 runways here during the Milan Fashion Week.

The dark and sober tones that can not be missed during the Italian winter, always with overlays, even on the monochromatic outfits:

To finish this blog post, another outfit I loved from this collection is this one with this stunning camel coat:

Chiara Ferragni Collection: Spring 2018 #MFW

Sweatshirts and bomber jackets are part of the new collection of the Chiara Ferragni Collection together with casual accessories like the many different sneakers on the new collection:

On the more feminine styles for shoes: models of mules, boots and slippers that bring the logo of the brand stamped and shining. But it’s not only on the shoes but also on some pieces of clothing and on some backpacks:

Alberto Zambelli: Spring 2018 #MFW

Alberto Zambelli showed his new collection during the Spring / Summer 2018 of the Milan Fashion Week, it features horizontal, vertical, square and round lines and precious shades to the new season.

I attended the MFW’s brand show here in Milan and I picked some key looks from this collection.

Alberto Zambelli SS 2018 - MFW

Alberto Zambelli’s new collection was inspired by the Venice in the 1920s and it features a range of colors ranging from neutral tones, like white and black, to shades of precious stones.

The collection features lightweight pieces with fluttering silhouettes for a very light for spring / summer collection.

For an elegant, light and sophisticated summer. Fabrics like silk, chiffon, crepe and organza affirm the lightness of the new collection of Alberto Zambelli for this season.

My favorite tone in the collection was this beautiful shade of blue, called blu laguna (blue lagoon in English):

Atsushi Nakashima Spring 2018 (MFW)

For the Spring 2018, the collection of Atsushi Nakashima presented at this last Milan Fashion Week brought us a deconstruction of classic pieces with customizations of zipers that make them super modern and very contemporary pieces.

Atsushi Nakashima - Spring 2018

My Spring 2018 season at Milan Fashion Week started with the Atsushi Nakashima fashion show here in Milan, bringing an air of modernity to fashion.

One of the classics of fashion, the trench coat got deconstructed and it gains up to three fabrics and colors in the above look.

Different fabrics and colors in one piece bring asymmetry back to fashion, playing with deconstructed fashion and customizing colors and accessories in a modern way is totally in for the Atsushi Nakashima Spring 2018 collection.

ATSUHI NAKASHIMA - MFW 2018

Denim garments are paired with tailored pieces and even the sweatshirt gets an air as a more fashionable and stylish look.

And speaking of denim, it also became the fabric  for dresses like this stylish one for the next summer.

Atsushi Nakashima - MFW 2018

Blue, which turned out to be a trendy color already for this Fall/Winter season, especially when  in combination with black, it’s probably going to continue here for the next summer:

Looks Azul Atsushi Nakashima - MFW 2018

The play between more sportive pieces and the more sophisticated air creates an elegant collection for the brand’s next summer. Like in this look that makes this sportive combination almost looks like a piece of tailoring.

Chiara Ferragni Fall 2017 – MFW

A lot of shine and glitter in cute combinations while others are more sportive, blogger Chiara Ferragni’s style translates into her collection for her brand in this Fall 2017, which brings shoes, accessories and a few pieces of clothing.

The new collection of the brand brings the cool style of Italian blogger to this collection, the accessories have a cool style and she played a lot with glitter and shiny pieces!

The presentation of the collection took place in a pop-up store here in Milan with the brand’s new collection and a candy store just in front of it.

The photographer David Bruce accompanied me at the presentation here in Milan and he was a bit of a paparazzi to photograph my look at the entrance of this presentation.

Chiara Ferragni stopped at the presentation of her brand to tell a little about her new collection and her inspirations and to give some interviews:

The shoes of the brand bring a lot of shine and glitter in slippers, pointy shoes and boots, either as a pair of shoes covered in glitter or in other pairs with just some jewelry details like the court shoes pair that was at the begging of this blog post.

For the presentation of her new Fall 2017 collection, Chiara Ferragni was wearing a pair of jeans and an embroidered knit, which was completed by a fur and, of course, a pair of shoes from her new collection.

MFW: Giuseppe di Morabito – Fall 2017

The Giuseppe di Morabito’s presentation for the Fall 2017/18 collection took place here in Milan during the Milan Fashion Week at the Palazzo Parigi, a Milan’s sophisticated hotel, and it showed us a collection inspired by 19th-century pre-Raphaelite art movement in a feminine and delicate way.

Giuseppe di Morabito - MFW Fall 2017

photo: Manu Luize

The brand’s Fall 2017 collection brings an elegant mix between a inspiration from the period of the pre-Raphaelite artistic movement which was very strong in the UK, and the current trends that have been changing the fashion world.

The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood was a group of English painters, poets and critics in the mid-nineteenth century, in England the TV series Desperate Romantics portrayed this period and its main characters and founders of the brotherhood, the group wanted to reform art. One of its founders was Dante Gabriel Rossetti, who inspired prints and flowers in the Giuseppe di Morabito’s collection for the next fall.

The floral theme is present in Giuseppe di Morabito’s Fall 2017 collection inspired by the flowers of Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s autumnal colors and the costumes wore by girls in the art of Evelyn de Morgan.

Couture techniques are combined with the use of everyday materials such as the use of lace in more sportive items, creating a contrast that shows a more romantic side. The contrast also appears in laser-embroidered leather garments like the skirt in the outfit above.

The Giuseppe di Morabito’s silhouettes of this fall collection presented at this Milan Fashion Week are very feminine, with several items with a high and marked waistline.

MFW: Hanita – Fall 2017/18 collection

Another collection I checked at Milan Fashion Week was from the italian brand Hanita, which has created a a Fall/Winter collection punctuated by black, red and pink millennial as the main colors of this season. A brand that seeks to keep alive the made in Italy, creating a 100% Italian product.

Hanita - Fall 2017 / 18

A young and modern winter was created for this new season of Hanita, the Italian brand was created in 2008 and they always care about having great quality materials and the final garments.

With a presentation at the Grand Hotel et Milan in the Fashion Quadrangle here in Milan, Hanita showed pieces for day and night in this edition of MFW.

Attention to the detail that the fur used in this collection is ecological fur, (as in the leopard coat that opened this post) which is not very common to see at the Milan Fashion Week collections.

This leather jacket was one of Hanita’s Fall 2017 highlights at MFW.

Velvet also showed that the fabric that was in fashion since the previous winter, continues to be trendy another season.

Light tones like millennial pink make this collection elegant and super modern:

Fiorinda Bride by Carlo Pignatelli 2018 – MFW

Another collection that I checked during the Milan Fashion Week was the Fiorinda Bride collection from Le Spose di Carlo Pignatelli wedding dresses brand that presented its 2018 collection, with elegant, embroidered and delicate dresses to fulfill the dream of the most romantic brides.

• Le Spose di Carlo Pignatelli – 2018 Collection

Romantic Wedding dress

With a collection of beautiful and very elegant wedding dresses, most designs focus on embroidery and lace on the bodice of the dress, although it also brings entire models in lace.

Carlo Pignatelli’s collection is very delicate and feminine, ideal for brides who look for more romantic and delicate wedding dresses.

Carlo Pignatelli became known worldwide for his men’s fashion for weddings and formal parties, currently he also creates a fashionable female and bridal party collection (with the Fiorinda collection and another couture collection for brides), as well as accessories.

A curiosity about the Italian designer: in 1995, he created the uniform of the Juventus football team, showing its versatility in fashion from sports fashion to couture for brides.

Romantic Wedding dresses MFW 2018

The designer’s delicate wedding dresses feature bandeau designs to dresses thin straps and even long sleeve dress designs for the various bridal and wedding styles.

For the brides that are looking for short wedding dresses, they are also available in the collection, for those who chose a more informal wedding or for who just needs a short white dress for simple notary wedding.

Floral dress – Milan Fashion Week Outfit

For the first day of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2017, I wore a guipir dress with shades of blue and black to star MFW in style. Check all the photos and details of my outfit.

During the crazyness of fashion week, between a show and another at the first day of MFW, I’ve met the british photographer David Bruce to shoot my first outfit for MFW here in Milan.

Manu Luize - floral dress

Milan Fashion Week’s fashion shows and presentations usually take place in the central region of Milan, always with amazing scenery places nearby the shows, you can always follow everything in real time at my Instagram @manuluize, just check my Instagram Stories.

Near the venue to one of MFW’s afternoon shows, we photographed my outfit in the Brera region in Milan, which is known both for the most artistic part of the city (for having the famous Brera Academy, the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan), and for having several busy restaurants and bars. The region has a beautiful and classic architecture in several streets and it was all about my delicate and elegant look, but with a touch of modernity (take a look at the heels of my shoes).

My hairstyle was very simple, just with a false cascade braid, which is actually very easy to do, since I don’t even know how to do a cascade braid.

Cangiari Fall 2017 – Milan Fashion Week

One of Milan Fashion Week’s presentations I have been was Cangiari Fall 2017, a brand that has rescued an old tradition of fabrics from Calabria (Italy) and which creates handmade woolen fabrics, taking eight hours to create each meter of fabric.

Cangiari Fall 2017

• Cangiari Fall 2017 MFW:

Cangiari - Fall 2017 MFW

The Cangiari Fall 2017 collection was inspired by the Nature’s colors during the fall/winter season, all with handwoven fabrics produced by the brand.

With patterns that were inspired by the Ancient Greece that meet the new fashion trends. Using a selection of unconventional materials that were inspired by the origins, by the work in the factories and the nights during the war.

Cangiari - Inverno 2017

With patterns created with Byzantine and Hellenistic designs, Cangiari takes this ancient inspiration to create modern pieces for the Fall 2017 collection.

Cangiari - Fall 2017 MFW

With garments such as coats, ponchos, capes and kimonos, Cangiari brings us a comfortable fall/winter with beautiful pieces with a lot of style. Perfect to create that cosy style that I love for the fall season.

Cachecol Cangiari - Fall 2017

With fringed pieces and ankle long coats and gilets, the Cangiari Fall 2017 collection has neutral colors such as shades of grey, black and cream, combined with details in red and green on its patterns.

inverno 2017 - Cangiari

Cangiari collections was created under Maria Paola Pedetta’s creative direction, being a brand which works with the production of fabrics in a sustainable and ethical way, with the traditional  made in Italy quality.

Kimono Cangiari

Cangiari creative director told that she “thought about a collection that, more than any other, told through the materials the meaning of Cangiari story. Its sprit, its values, its pride.”

While visiting the brand’s presentation at Milan Fashion Week, I’ve learned more about the brand and its process to create the handwoven fabrics: the are created based on a traditional from Calabria (region on the italian south).

This technique was  passed from generation to generation through the music of the region and it was falling into oblivion. The brand had to join the songs and their translations to rescue this form of fabric production to create handmade fabrics and pieces of the Italian label.
