A whole fair dedicated especially to the fragrances market, this is the Esxence Milano that took place here in Milan, also know as the fragrance week. A beauty fair with amazing scents from all over the world, where I met new brands and several irresistible fragrances.
Esxence is a perfumery fair dedicated to artistic perfumery and in this edition, it has brought perfumes from Italy and 16 other countries: France, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Turkey, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Morocco.
• Esxence Milano 2017:
209 brands participated in this edition of perfume week here in Milan, the theme of this edition was the Garden of Eden (Giardino dell’Eden in Italian), seeking to create a “magical” place between reality and imagination.
In addition to presenting various brands of perfumes, in this edition were 190 brands of fragrances and 19 of skincare and makeup, Esxence Milano also hold some events and conferences about the world of perfumes.
Esxence Milano is a fair dedicated to various audiences: professionals in the field, press and even the general public who is passionate about perfume.
With so many fragrances, choosing just 5 of them was not an easy task, but I chose the ones that personally pleased me the most with their mix of scents.
• TOP 5 Perfume at Esxence Milano:
• Les Amoureux de Peynet – Molinard:
Do you know when it is “love at first sight,” I mean, at the first smell? This was one of my favorite perfumes at Esxence Milano. One of Molinard’s new launching, Les Amoureux perfume de Peynet is a fresh scent, with delicate spicy ginger notes. And it was created as an emotional tribute from the perfumer to the artist, the illustrator of Les Amoureux!
Top notes: Orange bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit, money
Middle notes: Petitgrain, Ginger, Nutmeg, Jasmine
Base notes: Woody, Vetiver, Amber, Musk
• Seduction 2 from AK Parfumerie France:
With such a pink packaging, AK Parfumerie’s Seduction 2 perfume is a sweet fragrance. In general, sweet perfumes are not my favorites, but this one brings a combination that pleased me, probably because it also has some citrus notes.
Top notes: tangerine, raspberry, orange blossom, cinnamon
Middle notes: sandalwood, cedar wood, pink, violet
Base notes: vanilla, biscuit, benjoin, white musk
• Jolie from Bahoma London:
With a woody floral fragrance, the Jolie Eau de Toilette from Bahoma London was one of the brand’s new launching for this year.
Top notes: bergamot, orange leaf and peach
Heart notes: peony, violet, magnolia, lily-of-the-valley, rose, jasmine and galbanum
Base notes: patchouli, sandalwood, cedar and white musk.
• Vanille-Benjoin from Affinesence Paris:
With a combination of two types of vanilla, the Affinityence Paris’s Eau de Parfum Vanille-Benjoin is part of a special collection created just with base notes.
With Tahitian Vanilla Absolute and Madagascan Vanilla Absolute, the fragrance gains a blend with Siamese Benzoin, a fragrance from Laos that has high balsamic value and notes of almonds.
• K2 from Bahoma London:
Bahoma London has some feminine and other unisex fragrances, as its the case with K2. It is a fresh and very citrus Eau de Toilette.
Top notes: lemon, mandarin, cardamom and petitgrain;
Middle notes: neroli, mint and sage;
Base notes: benzoin, patchouli and musk.

To find a solution, more and more women are turning to aesthetic medicine experts, dermatologists and / or wellness centers to have additional support when eating healthy and exercise are not enough anymore in combating the cellulite.
In this sense, real and effective help comes from the Swiss technology company Electro Medical Systems SA, which, with its 30 years of experience in the production of precision medical devices for more than 100 countries worldwide, has also chosen to launch in Italy a non-invasive solution designed by medical research and designed for beauty professionals: Swiss CellVibe® is a shock-absorbing device that not only reduces cellulite, but also improves skin consistency and elasticity, while it stimulates the cell metabolism and promotes blood and lymph circulation.

Dark colors and a lot of asymmetry were the key points of Grinko’s Fall 2017 collection, presented here in Milan on the first day of Milan Fashion Week. The show was called The House of Dolls and it took place at the Palazzo Reale, opening this season of Milan Fashion Week in style.
Grinko’s next fall will bring many dark colors, including black, gray, blue and navy, a touch of red in addition to an abstract print and a gray check print.
Asymmetry is the mains feature of the brand’s collection for the upcoming winter, whether it is present in the pieces themselves with sleeves, length or asymmetrical cuts, as in an asymmetrical way of wear it.
The designer also brings reference from the early 80’s punk combined with the rigor of the English Victorian period. This mix and contrast is also created with the use of pieces with a shape closer to the body, while another brings the oversized feeling to the collection.
This collection of Grinko came as an inspiration from the designer’s daughters, who are two newborn twins who even inspired a print on the collection, the image of the ultrasound of the girls Emma and Sophia was turned into print for Grinko’s fall collection.
The family and love theme was signaled by the designer as important point of his inspiration and a message to pass: there is space and respect for all types of families today. <3
• Check my favorite Grinko’s F/W 2017.18 – MFW:
With a somewhat dark but elegant mood, some of my favorite pieces were the capes and this blue shirt (above) that for being super fluid, created a beautiful movement on the catwalk.
I loved the elegance of this flawless outfit.
Here is my outfit for the Grinko Fall 2017 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week:

One of Milan Fashion Week’s presentations I have been was Cangiari Fall 2017, a brand that has rescued an old tradition of fabrics from Calabria (Italy) and which creates handmade woolen fabrics, taking eight hours to create each meter of fabric.
• Cangiari Fall 2017 MFW:
The Cangiari Fall 2017 collection was inspired by the Nature’s colors during the fall/winter season, all with handwoven fabrics produced by the brand.
With patterns that were inspired by the Ancient Greece that meet the new fashion trends. Using a selection of unconventional materials that were inspired by the origins, by the work in the factories and the nights during the war.
With patterns created with Byzantine and Hellenistic designs, Cangiari takes this ancient inspiration to create modern pieces for the Fall 2017 collection.
With garments such as coats, ponchos, capes and kimonos, Cangiari brings us a comfortable fall/winter with beautiful pieces with a lot of style. Perfect to create that cosy style that I love for the fall season.
With fringed pieces and ankle long coats and gilets, the Cangiari Fall 2017 collection has neutral colors such as shades of grey, black and cream, combined with details in red and green on its patterns.
Cangiari collections was created under Maria Paola Pedetta’s creative direction, being a brand which works with the production of fabrics in a sustainable and ethical way, with the traditional made in Italy quality.
Cangiari creative director told that she “thought about a collection that, more than any other, told through the materials the meaning of Cangiari story. Its sprit, its values, its pride.”
While visiting the brand’s presentation at Milan Fashion Week, I’ve learned more about the brand and its process to create the handwoven fabrics: the are created based on a traditional from Calabria (region on the italian south).
This technique was passed from generation to generation through the music of the region and it was falling into oblivion. The brand had to join the songs and their translations to rescue this form of fabric production to create handmade fabrics and pieces of the Italian label.
For the first day of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2017, I wore a guipir dress with shades of blue and black to star MFW in style. Check all the photos and details of my outfit.

During the crazyness of fashion week, between a show and another at the first day of MFW, I’ve met the british photographer David Bruce to shoot my first outfit for MFW here in Milan.
Milan Fashion Week’s fashion shows and presentations usually take place in the central region of Milan, always with amazing scenery places nearby the shows, you can always follow everything in real time at my Instagram @manuluize, just check my Instagram Stories.
Near the venue to one of MFW’s afternoon shows, we photographed my outfit in the Brera region in Milan, which is known both for the most artistic part of the city (for having the famous Brera Academy, the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan), and for having several busy restaurants and bars. The region has a beautiful and classic architecture in several streets and it was all about my delicate and elegant look, but with a touch of modernity (take a look at the heels of my shoes).
My hairstyle was very simple, just with a false cascade braid, which is actually very easy to do, since I don’t even know how to do a cascade braid.
