If you’re looking for an exfoliating face cream, here’s my full review of the face scrub cream by Enolea, an Italian cosmetics brand. Last year while I visited On Beauty, a beauty fair organized by Cosmoprof in Bologna (Italy), I meet the brand Enolea and got some of their skincare products to try.

Enolea is an Italian brand based in Tuscany, that creates cosmetics from grapes and olive leaves. They create skincare products that focus on care for sensitive and mature skins. Studying organic ingredients for 20 years, the brand wants to create highly effective formulations with the highest percentage of nature present in a dermo-cosmetic. The brand is also a vegan brand, but now let’s get into this exfoliating face cream.

Enolea Exfoliating Face Cream

Enolea Esfoliate Viso

The Enolea Exfoliating Face Cream is a delicate exfoliating face cream. It can be considered a physical exfoliant since it has the Enolea patented complex and olive kernel micro-granules, therefore it contains some very small exfoliant particles (to understand better the difference between the different kinds of exfoliations, check this blog post, I talk about peels and different kinds of exfoliating products at the beginning of the post).

It’s a facial scrub product formulated to regenerate the skin leaving it smooth and luminous. It’s a cream product, so the texture is cream of course. It was my first time trying this cream texture for a facial exfoliant product, and the Enolea exfoliant cream has a very light texture, which is also completely ok for oily skin (you will find a photo of the texture below).

How to use the Enolea Exfoliating Face Cream

This exfoliant cream is appropriate for the face, neck and décolleté area.

Exfoliating is an important weekly step in order to keep the skin smooth and healthy. So I consider exfoliants and peels an important part of my skincare routine. When using exfoliant products you need to check what is best for your skin, to decide how often you should apply it. Usually, you should apply a facial exfoliant product once or twice a week, according to your skin needs and how strong is the product.

In this case, the brand advises using it once or twice a week. Whenever trying a new exfoliant, I always start with once a week frequency to see how my skin will react and behave with a new product. Since I noticed the Enolea face exfoliant was indeed very delicate, I was able to use it twice a week.

Applying the Enolea Face Exfoliant

Start with a clean face, always start a scrub treatment after washing your face. Then apply the product to the face, neck, and décolleté with your hands, massage it into the skin for some minutes, and, after, wash it. You can feel the micro exfoliants when you apply the product, but they are very delicate and really small. Once you wash it, you will feel your skin soft and smooth.

I usually prefer chemical exfoliants for the face, but this one is a very delicate one with really small exfoliant particles that didn’t cause any irritation or damage to the skin during the whole time I’ve been using it.

If you like cream texture and physical exfoliants, the Enolea skin exfoliant is definitely a good option to try, especially if you’re looking for a vegan product.
