Pixi Beauty has been making waves in the makeup industry with its high-quality and affordable beauty products. One of their latest eyeshadow palettes that I tried is the Pixi Eyeshadow Palette created in collaboration with the famous beauty YouTuber, Tina Yong. It’s called the Tones & Texture eyeshadow palette. This eyeshadow palette features a collection of 25 shades that range from neutral to bold and bright. In this review, we will take a closer look at this Pixi Eyeshadow Palette.
Tina Yong + Pixi Eyeshadow Palette
The Pixi Eyeshadow Palette Tina Yong comes in sleek packaging with 25 shades. This eyeshadow palette goes from neutral matte shades to bold and metallic shades, making it a great palette when you want and need different kinds of colors in the same palette. The eyeshadows are arranged in five rows, with each row featuring five shades. The shades are arranged in a way that makes it easy to create different eye looks, from natural and lighter shades to bold and dramatic colors.
You will find the names of each color in the back of this Pixi eyeshadow palette.
Shades and Pigmentation
The Pixi Eyeshadow Palette Tina Yong features a mix of matte, shimmer, and metallic shades that range from soft neutrals to some bold and bright hues. The palette also features a range of warm and cool tones, making it easy to create eye looks that suit different skin tones and eye colors.
Here you can check all the swatches of the 25 shades of this eye palette:
The shades are pigmented, blendable, and buildable, making it easy to create a variety of eye looks. The pigmentation of the shadows is especially good in the shimmer/metallic shades, which are very pigmented.
Texture and Longevity
The texture of the eyeshadows in the Pixi Eyeshadow Palette Tina Yong is smooth and buttery, even though they’re powder eyeshadows, it kind of goes like a “cream feeling application”, which makes them easy to apply and blend. The eyeshadows also stay put throughout the day without creasing or fading much. The shimmer/metallic ones seem to stay longer on my skin.
Application and Versatility
The Pixi Eyeshadow Palette Tina Yong is versatile and can be used to create a range of eye looks. The shades can be used individually or combined to create different eye looks, from natural to dramatic. The palette also features a mix of warm and cool tones, making it easy to create eye looks that suit different skin tones and eye colors.
I’m usually a neutral kind of girl, but I had fun trying some makeup looks with some of the bright shades of this palette, like the makeup look above that I created with the green/teal shades. And here’s a quick tutorial of that look:
The eyeshadows are easy to apply and blend, even for beginners. The metallic shades are particularly stunning and can be used to create a bold and dramatic eye look.
Value for Money
The Pixi Eyeshadow Palette Tina Yong retails for $24, which is a good price for an eyeshadow palette that features 25 shades. The palette is also versatile and can be used to create a range of eye looks, from natural to bold, which makes it a great value for money.
