The Shade of the Year: Peach Everything

PANTONE has decided: the color of 2024 is no other than Peach Fuzz. Warm, soft, feminine and sweet, peach is everywhere – from sundresses to bling. Hop on the fruity trend and invest in a few statement peach items for the spring season ahead. And if peach is really not your color and you can’t picture yourself in a head-to-toe look in this hue, go big on accessories – a purse, a strand of peach pearls or an accent belt. Pink lips are next, as are nails – so think of creative ways to incorporate the color of the year in your daily looks.

Fairycore Dreams: Sheer & White

The past few seasons were all about black & sheer – but this year is changing the tune. Givenchy, Alaïa, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel have all decided: sheer is IN, but, more precisely, white sheer is on top of the runways. Frolic in a white dress with sheer details this spring, be it in tulle, silk or mesh and channel your inner fairy. In 2024, fairycore is going to get even bigger. And if you’re not about to show too much skin on the streets, no worries – sheer sleeves are a great way to embrace this trend – as are sheer overlayers or even dainty sheer purses made of layers and layers of transparent, cloud-like fabrics.

Statement Accents: Fringe Galore

Whether you like it or not, fringe is back. It was big exactly 100 years ago during the roaring 1920s and it seems that it’s having a big moment this year. Design houses like Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Gucci and Prada all incorporated statement fringe in their spring / summer collections. Mostly in leather and adorning little black dresses, fringe is all about bringing that flounce, movement and edge to an otherwise basic look. The verdict is in: we’re looking at the roaring 20’s: the sequel.

Say YES to Double Denim

Balenciaga, Chanel and Valentino went full on with the denim trend this year. As in, they embraced it from head to toe. In 2024, double denim is certainly no longer a fashion faux pas. In fact, you’re encouraged to drape yourself in it from head to toe – and in layers over layers of blue denim whenever the inspiration strikes. And speaking of denim, jeans are no longer basic in 2024. In fact, we’re back to bedazzling them. Go for trending bow or mirror-adorned jeans or opt for a pair decked in pearls or other gems in true Y2K fashion.

Reinvented Blooms: Voluminous Florals

While florals for spring may be anything but unexpected, 2024 is totally reinventing florals. Dainty little blooms are OUT to make space for their much more voluminous cousins. This year takes floral accents to the next level with oversized flowers – either in prints, patterns or in 3D formats. Accented shoulders, jewelry and brooches depicting extra-large florals are all trending, so get your hands on your very own floral piece.

Girlcore Power: Bow Bonanza

If you’ve been paying any attention, you definitely noticed: bows are everywhere. In every shape, shade and size, bows are currently taking over the streets and the runways. Adorning dresses, jeans, purses and jewelry, bows – and ribbons at that – are the ultimate must-have feminine accent to incorporate in spring and summery outfits. Make bows your own by opting for a dangly pair or earrings, a cocktail clutch or a statement belt to accent your favorite spring dresses for a look that’s unapologetically girlcore.

Millennial Pink Is Back

The latest collections from Carolina Herrera, Simone Rocha and Tory Burch tell us that it’s time to add Millennial Pink back into our wardrobes. While this particular shade was absent in the last few years – the years of Barbie pink’s supremacy – the soft, pastel shade of Millennial pink is back for a second run in the spotlight. Peach fuzz is its strongest competition this year – so go big on these soft and sweet shades this year for a look that makes a feminine color statement.

2024 looks fun in terms of spring fashion trends – and definitely not predictable. Get your creative mojo on by hopping on these colorful, bold and exciting trends for the warmer season ahead.
